The Multicultural Assistance Program is an initiative under the Queensland's Government's Multicultural Policy: Multicultural Queensland - making a world of difference
The Multicultural Assistance Program grants are allocated to events and projects that strengthen multiculturalism, foster harmonious community relations and participation, and build community capacity, including improved access to services in Queensland.
Grants available for events and projects held in 2010 in the following categories:
- Major multicultural festivals
- Cultural celebrations
- Community relations and intervention/capacity building projects
- Small community projects.

Applicants must use the Funding Submission Form provided in the Funding Information Paper to submit a funding application.
Please note that the closing date for submission of applications was Friday 6 November.

The Grants Access Worker is able to provide information on government and non-government grants available, and training on how to access grants and develop a funding submission.
Previous grant recipients
In the 2008-09 Multicultural Assistance Program funding round more than $700,000 was allocated to 76 projects or events, including five iconic festivals across the state.
