Roar events

Reddacliff Place took on all things Brazil on Friday 11 July in the lead up to the Queensland Roars Against Racism match.

The day began at lunch time when Queensland Roar and Palmeiras players and officials, Minister Lindy Nelson-Carr, Brisbane soccer fans and passers by were wowed by amazing Brazilian themed entertainment.

They were then lead in a carnival style procession along George Street to Parliament House where both teams were welcomed by the Premier in an official reception.

Reddacliff Place turned up the volume, where Brisbane locals turned out for a Latin Dance party.

The night was filled with performances, prize giveaways and lessons where anyone could learn to samba.

Couples showed off their dancing skills and Roary, the Queensland Roar mascot, selected who would win tickets to the next day’s game at Suncorp Stadium.
