The Multicultural Affairs Queensland - Events Calendar
The Department of Communities, Multicultural Affairs Queensland provides the opportunity for organisations to publicise their upcoming festivals, events and projects through the Events Calendar located in the Multicultural Affairs Queensland (Queensland Government) website.
Events/festivals funded under the annual grant round are automatically included in the Events Calendar, however other events that take place in Queensland may also be published on the Multicultural Affairs Queensland (Queensland Government) website.
The events or festivals published in the Events Calendar are compiled and maintained using the information provided to Multicultural Affairs Queensland by the coordinating organisation. It is the responsibility of the coordinating organisation to provide Multicultural Affairs Queensland with any updates or changes to the event so that these can be reflected in the Event Calendar website.
To add or update upcoming multicultural events and/or festivals, the coordinating organisation needs to complete the Multicultural Event Information Form. Once completed the form should be forwarded to:

Whilst Multicultural Affairs Queensland supports and encourages the participation of cultural events and festivals, it reserves the right not to publish on its website events or festivals that do not meet one or more of the following criteria for publication:
- Events/festivals that strengthen the sense of belonging for Queenslanders regardless of race, religion, cultural or linguistic background
- Events/festivals that promote and encourage community cohesion and harmony
- Events/festivals that promote acceptance and respect of cultural diversity
- Events/festivals that provide information about cultural diversity in Queensland

Events/festivals that provide opportunities to foster a greater understanding of multiculturalism.
Decision to omit an event or festival to the Multicultural Affairs Queensland - Event Calendar
In the situation that an event or festival is deemed unsuitable for publication, the coordinating organisation will be notified in writing by Multicultural Affairs Queensland.
